HIFU is a permanent fat loss treatment. Using heat, it destroys the fat cells in a specific target area like the arms or the thighs. Not only does it destroy fat, but it also boosts collagen growth which makes the skin tighter and firmer.
It is very effective in reducing the volume of subcutaneous adipose tissue or cellulite.
Nevertheless, HIFU is not a weight loss treatment and does not replace the benefits of a healthy diet and exercise or HI-EMT treatment. HIFU cannot shift stubborn pockets of fat or treat obesity in general.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
HIFU works by using ultrasonic energy in combination with heat. The ultrasonic energy and heat bypass the surface of the skin to deliver targeted energy specifically into the deep, structural tissues and muscles of the skin.
It generates instant micro thermal lesions through the accumulation of high-frequency ultrasound beams at the specific tissue site without any damage to the epidermis and adjacent issue.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Make-up is removed and the skin disinfected.
The areas to be treated are marked with a white pencil.
A conductive gel is applied on the skin to facilitate the passage of the ultrasonic waves. The High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) energy is transmitted to the treated areas. The device has several transducers (cartridges) working between 1.5 and 13 millimetres under the skin, depending on the indication to be treated.
The HIFU technology creates numerous coagulation points at a temperature of more than 70 degrees. During a session, between 7,500 and 15,000 coagulation points are created per treatment depth.
NO ANESTHESIA
Levels of discomfort vary from person to person. However, most clients tolerate the procedure very well with a simple anesthetic cream. The discomfort caused by the treatment is temporary, and you can resume your activities immediately.
HIGH SATISFACTION
The majority of clients need only one or two treatments. Improvements in the treated area will continue for up to 6 months after the initial procedure. Slight touch-ups can be done after one year, depending on individual expectations.
THE RESULTS
The skin gradually tightens thanks to the synthesis of new collagen, while fat is progressively eliminated in a natural way. The result becomes definitive two to three months after the HIFU session.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
You will have an in depth consultation with your operator before any treatment commences to make sure it is exactly right for you. We will use a hand held device to deliver HIFU quickly and safely.

WHAT DOES THE HIFU FEEL LIKE?
As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to the precise depths. You will feel a warm, tingling sensation throughout the treatment, which is tolerable.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS TREATMENT?
Generally a noticeable improvement will be visible in facial contouring and fine lines and wrinkles within a 4 week period whilst further improvement in facial skin tightening and wrinkles will be reportedly seen up to 3 months post treatment.
WHAT ABOUT DOWNTIME?
There is no down time at all which makes HIFU a great alternative to surgery. You might look a little flushed and red after the treatment but this usually passes within a couple of hours. Mild swelling and tenderness can also occur, but again these are temporary side effects.
IS HIFU SAFE?
This non-invasive treatment is extremely safe. Ultrasound energy has been safely used in medicine for more than 50 years.
There are some contraindications:

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?
One single treatment is recommended.
However, it depends on the degree of skin laxity, the skins response to ultrasound energy and individuals collagen building process. Therefore, some clients may benefit from additional treatment. As the skin continues to age, future touch-up treatments can help clients keep up the pace with the bodys natural ageing process.
Maintenance treatment is advised every 12 – 18 months.
